We all probably know Michael's thinking about internet piracy but i'm just curious if and how much Michael's music is affected by piracy online and offline.... just curious.... we all know that all good and major artists are damages from illegal copies or download.... so just asking if someone know something about Michael's music....

I think that obviously every artist is more harshly stricken from the musical piracy... but I think that the people that love indeed the music of quality, don't stop him to the download of a file mp3 or of a copied cd. As it regards the specific situation of Michael, I don't think that has been the piracy to influence the decrease of sales of his albums, but how much the market in general that he is changing. The artists are multiplied as mushrooms and so many of them make some discreet music... The people that respect the music and who creates her, it still races in the shops of disks to buy the original music. The world of internet is surely extraordinary that allows us to be in more contact "direct" with the job of the artist but it deprives us of the emotion that we had once, as to wait for the exit of a disk in front of the shops or to know its cover.

I think that the only MJ's record which has been really damaged by piracy is "Invincible". Talkin' about piracy, inevitably you talk about record sales. "Invincible" has surely been downloaded by more people than any other MJ's record. Obviously, none of Mike's other albums ever faced this kind of problems.
Anyway, i think that there is something positive in it. Probably, there are many MJ's new fans who had known him through "piracy"...maybe in a second time, these new fans would buy original CDs too...that's important.
